Once you and your child understand how to play this addition and subtraction card game it can be played many times over. You can also use the cards and play according to the rules of the Snap or Memory games.

Have fifteen counters available when you prepare this game and encourage your child to use these counters if they want to. Counters can be anything you have a lot of inside or outside of your home. Your child can enjoy looking for 15 similar things to use. Children can also use their fingers or make marks on a paper to work out the answers if they want to.

If your child is enjoying the game and wants to carry on playing, you can make more addition and subtraction cards but keep the total of the sums you write below 15.

Wanneer jy en jou kind verstaan hoe om hierdie optel- en aftrek-kaartspeletjie te speel, kan julle dit gereeld speel. Julle kan ook die kaarte gebruik en volgens die reëls van “Snap”- of geheuespeletjies speel.

Hou vyftien speelmunte gereed wanneer jy hierdie speletjie voorberei en moedig jou kind aan om hierdie speelmunte te gebruik as hy wil. Die speelmunte kan enigiets wees wat jy in of buite die huis het. Jou kind sal dit geniet om 15 soortgelyke dinge te soek om te gebruik. Hy kan ook sy vingers gebruik of merke op ʼn papier maak om die antwoorde uit te werk as hy wil.

As jou kind die speletjie geniet en verder wil speel, kan jy nog optel- en aftrek-kaarte maak, maar hou die totaal van die somme wat jy skryf onder 15.
