Give your child many opportunities to practice the important skill of listening carefully. Listen together to the Read aloud story, Sisanda’s gift. By listening to the story without any pictures to look at, your child will rely on listening only to understand the story. They will use their imaginations to form pictures in their minds about the story.

Nika umntwana wakho ithuba lokuziqhelanisa nesakhono esibalulekileyo sokuphulaphula ngenyameko. Phulaphulani kunye ibali elifundwa ngokukhwaza, elithi isipho sikaSisanda. Xa eliphulaphule ngaphandle kokujonga imifanekiso umntwana wakho eli bali, uza kuliphulaphulalela ukuliqonda. Uza kusebenzisa imifanekiso-ntelekelelo azenzele eyakhe imifanekiso emalunga nebali engqondweni yakhe.

Omdat daar nie prente is waarna jou kind kan kyk nie, moet hy goed luister om die storie te verstaan. Hy sal sy verbeelding gebruik om prente in sy kop oor die storie te vorm.
