Children enjoy playing games with dice. If you don’t have a dice, make one using the template. Then roll the dice and play.

Ask your child to roll the dice. Look at the number that the dice is showing on the top. Point to the dots and count each one with your child. Try counting each dot and then ask your child to do something physical, like clap hands, jump or tap the table top, to show how many dots you counted together, for example: 3 dots will mean 3 claps or 3 jumps.

Kinders geniet speletjies met dobbelstene. As jy nie ’n dobbelsteen het nie, gebruik die templaat om een te maak. Gooi dan die dobbelsteen en speel.

Vra jou kind om die dobbelsteen te gooi. Kyk na die getal waarop die dobbelsteen land. Wys na die kolletjies en tel elkeen saam met jou kind. Probeer elke kolletjie tel en vra dan jou kind om iets konkreets te doen, soos om hande te klap, te spring of op die tafel te klap om te wys hoeveel kolletjies julle saam getel het, byvoorbeeld: 3 kolletjies beteken 3 klappe of 3 spronge.
